Air Discount Scheme website fix

Scottish Liberal Democrat and Shetland MSP, Beatrice Wishart, contacted the Air Discount Scheme team to highlight an airline link issue on their web site for booking code-share flights. The ADS scheme provides residents of Shetland, other island groups, Caithness and north-west Sutherland with a 50% discount on eligible, core services.

Constituents raised the website issue with Ms Wishart who contacted the Air Discount Scheme team and was advised on Tuesday evening that the issue had been “fully resolved”.

Ms Wishart said:

“Thank you to the team involved. One little website glitch like this can have a significant impact on the cost of travelling on lifeline services, especially when travel involves onward travel from the Mainland.

“I would encourage anyone travelling onwards from Mainland airports to book code-share flights. If, for example, your flight is delayed in Sumburgh, and you are travelling to London on a code-share ticket it will enable you to get onto another London-bound flight.”
