WASPI: Wishart - UK Government must give compensation

Responding to the report released today by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, that recommended the UK Government should compensate the 1950s women affected by the Department for Work and Pensions maladministration of state pension changes, Scottish Liberal Democrat and CPG WASPI member Beatrice Wishart MSP said:

“I hope the UK Government doesn’t drag its heels in accepting the Ombudsman’s findings and gets on with determining the compensation payments to the women who have already waited far too long for a resolution to this injustice.”
